Screams

In the sleepless silent dark night,
I hear tormented screams of mankind;
Entangled in a confined unseen cage,
I try to follow the anguish sound.

Night after night a neverending curse,
I try to close my ears but the screams won’t stop;
In impulsion to save them from the suffering,
every time I strive with a new hope.

I want to break the cage,
but feel so powerless when I try;
Is this weakness of my ability,
or am I courageless, but why?

One day it will knock on my doors too,
it will torture me to suffer and scream;
No one will come to my rescue,
My screams will slowly vanish in the gloom

WAR

The war is now over, the battle has been fought,
There is a deep silence but not likely peace has been brought

Did we win gloriously or did we badly loose,
Are they always right the side that we choose?

The battlefield is soaked in blood of the martyrs,
Those who survived have returned to their homes

Did they achieve what they came to fight for,
Should we celebrate our victory if we have won the war?

Who gave us the rights to draw lines on the land,
Who gave them the motive to fight for conquering the world?

Its perhaps a wronged belief, a deceiving blind faith,
We are believing for centuries to bring us only death

I would ask the almighty if only I am privileged to ask,
Would you ever forgive us for what we have done wearing your mask
?
