The Storm and the Men

The storm in front of their eyes was brewing with a rage
But the men were assiduously building ships for a new voyage

The storm broke out one afternoon and wrecked their ships
It destroyed their hopes and destroyed their dreams

They hid behind the broken walls of an abandoned old house
It found a way to intrude through the cracks of the walls

They held each other’s hands and started singing a song
The wrathful storm incensed all day and all night long

The long night came to an end, the morning sun shined at dawn
A bright ray through the broken walls found its way to the men

The drenched men stood on their feet and opened the broken door
Devastated to see their broken ship they looked at each other in despair

Then they picked up the tools and started building the ships again
Before the sun sinked at dusk, the ships were ready to sail again
